“Installation looked complete at first glance, then I discovered no drier filter installed on the high pressure line. And the furnace failed 6 months later, wouldn't start. First C&C tech investigated said burner compartment was soaked with water. Condensation run off not working properly. He recommended schedule someone to come back and fix it. Apparently instead of installing new properly sized PVC, they cut the old PVC which according to the first tech was improperly sized for this furnace. Routing of PVC caused a waterfall over the furnace with a 6 foot vertical drop. You sent a senior tech to follow up and he blew me off, he would have nothing of it, saying the junior tech didn't know what he was talking about, but in fact he did. No resolution. I could hear water slow dripping upstairs. Next I paid another licensed firm to come in and look. They recommended replacing all the PVC with all 2" as called for and they reran all the PVC, terminating with a 45 degree slope for $1100. Problem solved. I suggest try listening to your customers.”

Thank you for your comments, Mark. At the time of this response our GM has already spoken to you as customer satisfaction is our highest concern. We’re sorry to hear about these issues – it can be frustrating to go without heat for any length of time in the cold.

To quickly clarify the timeline and service: the six-month call was for a humidifier issue, which was fixed. The no heat call was a year and a half after installation – we were able to get someone on site a couple hours after your call, same day, with no charge to you. The service we provided was more closely related to maintenance than a part failure as your burners needed cleaning, which is something to look out for in the future.

To clarify the drier filter: it is factory installed in your air conditioner – it is there.

Downsizing PVC pipe isn’t generally recommended and offers no significant advantage in these types of systems. While the drip noise has cleared up, the noise was a secondary issue. We suggest that whatever company you are happy with, inquire about their maintenance plan to keep the burners clean as we believe you may run into similar issues with losing heat in the future.

Hi, Patrick. We hear you – the last 6-7 months have been frustrating. When we replaced your AC in 2021, there were a couple good years and then we replaced a clogged filter and reset the board. Based on our records, the problem hit when the furnace was replaced separately earlier this year. We know that intermittent issues are maddening – we hope you at least feel that we’ve been in the trenches with you. We have been working directly with the manufacturer to resolve the issue which seems to be related to the manufacturer’s coil configuration.

“I reached out to C&C to get a quote on a new heat pump and air handler as my previous system was about 17 years old and was dying quick. I received a quick response from Dan who provided two options including one budget option and another option for a higher efficiency heat pump that qualifies for the $2,000 federal tax credit. Both quotes were very competitive compared to quotes I received from other HVAC companies. I decided to go with the higher efficiency model that qualified for the tax credit. Dan was amazing to work with and he answered all of my questions! He also mentioned that the heat pump model I went with (Lennox EL17XP1) qualified for instant $1,000 EAP rebate as well as a $250 Peco rebate. I was referred to C&C from a family member and Dan said they have a referral program where they send me and my family member a $200 Amazon Gift Cards once the work is done. That was nice surprise as well!

The installation of the heat pump and air handler went very smooth. The technicians Craig and Jeremy that came out were both very friendly and professional. They started the job around 8am and were finished by 1pm which I was very surprised by as I thought it would take a full day to complete. Craig and Jeremy went above and beyond to make sure everything was installed correctly. They installed a new condensate drain pipe and a water overflow sensor that that will trip if the system is having major issues. They even replaced the ducts that lead into the air handler. All was done at no addtional cost too. I was very impressed with their work!!
